Remotely controlling a linux computer.

It would be possible to use X11vnc to control a remote screen. However I am displaying video on the screen and even on local network this makes for a rather horible experience.

A better solution seems to be barrier (the Open Source fork of Synergy) to just control the mouse and keyboard on the remote computer. This solution works becuase I am useing my laptop to control a desktop computer that is attached to a large monitor and I can see the screen when I am controling it.

I would prefer to just use the command line, but ziggo go is only available on the web and don't know of a way to get this to run from the command line.
